Coalmines Dispute

The coal commission visited Millerton on Friday, inquiring into the recent dispute over two horse-drivers which resulted in a stoppage of work at the mine. The commission later sat at Westport and reserved its decision. A visit was also paid to Deniston. where certain matters in dispute were heard, decision again being reserved. In the meantime, all of the miners are working.
