Mangonui
A well attended meeting of the Mangonui Women's Institute was held in McKay’s Hall recently, Mrs R. T. Wrathall presiding. Mrs C. W. Harris was hostess for the afternoon. A written competition by Miss D. Wilton was won by Mrs Simelhay. The motto was “Life is not so short but there is time enough for courtesy.” The points competition, “Best jar of Plum jam,” resulted: Mrs C. W. Harris 1, Mrs R. T. Wrathall 2. Shields for the hall' year, July to December, were won by Mrs Latta and Mrs C. W. Harris.
