Takahue

The Takahue Soldiers’ Welfare Glut: organised a social in the Takahue Hall on Friday evening to Claude Wright, whc is a member of the air force. The evening took the form of a dance, music being supplied by Mesdames Kjoller, Crene and Werner, Miss A. Curreen and Mr S. Yates. Misses O. and N. Kjoller entertained with an Irish Jig, Mr E. Jenkins supplying the music. A statue dance was won by Miss N. Kjoller and partner.. After a delightful supper, Mr J. Stewart presented Claude with a monev belt containing money. Mr A. Wright spoke on behalf of the residents. Aircraftman Wright responded. A verv jolly evening concluded with the singing of “Auld Lang Syne” and “God Save The King."
