ll is learned that two members of the Whangarei Law and Order section had occasion to accost a man who had a lighted cigarette in his hand, during the Whangarei blackout. He seemed to take exception to their request to put it out and commented that “the next thing you'll want to put out will be 'die glint in my eye.” Hardly had the words left his lips, when a uniformed constable appeared on the scene.
