Super-Mortar Under Australian Test
(Rec. 11 a.m.) RUGBY, Dec. 3. Another Australian war-time invention, the Kirby gun, is to be officially tested next week. It is described as a super-mortar which can throw a bomb 1200 feet into the air. A novel feature is that the propelling force is provided by compressed air instead of an explosive.
