Smaller entries were forward in most sections at the Addington sale yesterday and prices were maintained for most classes of stock. Best steers made from £ls/10/- to £l9; medium weight prime, £l3 to £ls; best heifers, £l2 to £ls/7/6; medium, £9 to £lO/10/-; best cows, £lO to £l3.

About 6000 fat sheep were penned as against 5000 last week. Best wethers made from 24/- to 27/-; medium, 23/to 23/6; best ewes, 18/6 to 22/-; good, 15/- to 17/6; light, 10/- to 12/6. In the pig section porkers ranged from £2/8/6 to £3/3/6. The average per pound was 6-’d to Bd. Baconers sold from £2/18/6 to £3/7/6, the average being 5-;d to 7id per lb.
