Tennis Club’s Patriotic Efforts Appreciated

Appreciation of the patriotic efforts of the Mairtown Tennis Club, which has sent addressed parcels to each of its members serving overseas, was cabled to the president of the club (Mr Birchall) by Mr Rex McMillan, who is serving with the Air Force in England. Mr McMillan was a prominent tennis player before leaving for overseas, and was well-known in Northland tennis circles. In his cable seasonal greetings were also conveyed to the club.
