88 Towns Back Up Men Overseas
(Per Press Association —Copyright.! WELLINGTON, This Day. Last week, 88 towns throughout the Dominion backed up their boys at the front by attaining their weekly quota of national savings. Notable additions to the list of successful towns ai - e Hamilton and Oamaru, both of which flew their quota flag for the first time. Of the 18 postal districts,, Canterbury was the most prominent with 15 successful towns, Waikato being next with 10 towns. The distinction of having flown their quota flags five weeks in succession goes to the following towns: New Plymouth, Ashburton, Hawera, Taihape, Hunterville, Fairlie, Hawarden, Kaikoura, Mayfield, Urenui, Weber, and Te Anga.
