[Special to “Noruiern Advocate”] AUCKLAND, This Day. Good average yardings of heavy ox beef came forward at the weekly Westfield fat stock sales today. There was a ready demand for all classes and prices realised were on a par with recent ra!es. Bidding was brisk with lighter piime steers selling freelv. Top price was £ls/12/6. Messrs. Allred Buckland and Sons, the N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency and Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report: Extra choice ox to 41/- per lOOlbs; choice and prime ox, 38/- to 40/-; ordinary and plain, 84/- to 86/-; prime young cow and heifer beef, 33/- to 37/-; choice and prime, 30/- to 32/-; ordinary cow beef, 25/- to 29/-; extra heavy prime steers, £is to £ls/12/6; heavy prime steers, £l4/5/- to £l4/15/-; lighter, £l3/10/- to £l4; light, £ll/10/- to £l2/10/-; small and unfinished, £7/10/- to £ll/5/-; extra heavy prime young cows and heifers, £lO to £ll/5/-; heavy, £B/10/- to £9/10/-; lighter, £7 to £8; other killable cows. £4/10/- to £6/10/-.
