Prices Good At Mangamuka
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., held sales at Kaeo and Mangamuka, when there were good ynrdings and prices showed a slight hardening. At Kaeo best yearling steers made from £4 to £4/15/-; others, £3/10/- to £4; cows and calves, £4/10/- to £5/10,'-; store cows, £3/17/- to £4/5-; boner cows, £l/10/- to £2; hoggets, fair quality, 20/S. At Mangamuka ewe hoggets made 25/C; wether hoggets, 18/9; Hereford cows and calves, £6/14/-; light fat cows, £5/5/-; yearling Hereford steers, £4 to £4/7/-; three and four-year-old bullocks, £B/2/-; coloured yearling steers, £3 to £3/10/*.
