Keen Competition At Broadwood Sale

The North Auckland Farmers’ Co-op., Ltd., reports having held a clearing sale on account of the executors of the estate of George Atkins (deceasedk at Broadwood. on November 14. There was a good attendance of buyers, and everything sold under the hammer. Dead stock and sundries sold under keen competition. Prices realised were: M.A. woolly ewes with lambs at foot, £ 1/10/8; woolly ewe hoggets, £l/3/9; woolly wether hoggets, 19/-; woolly dry ewes. £l/0/10; Romney rams, £2/15/-; 3-year-old Hereford, .Shorthorn and Jersey steers. £7/11/-; 2-year-old coloured steers (small), £3/5/-; yearling Shorthorn steers, £3 to £3/10/-; cows and calves, £3/15/-; 2-year-old coloured heifers, £4/12/-; hacks, £6; working horses, £lO. |
