Calf Club judges, said! Mr. L. Going, of Matarau Road, are leading practical farmers. They are giving of their time and experience, and they are helping not only the children but also the adults. “The calf club movement stands or falls on the efficiency of its judges," said Mr. Going, and the fact that the Whangarei Calf Club Group is the largest in-the Dominion is undoubtedly a tribute to our local judges. Bouquets at Ngararatunua Ngararalunua paraded 13 animals before the judges (Messrs K. M. Stevens and J. A. Cutforth). The parade was held on the lawn in front cf the school. Everybody had been invited and everybody was present. It is regretted that the calves were not appreciative of the beauty and park-like appearance of their surroundings; and one child was heard to remark to her calf "I wouldn't like to be you when the Headmaster sees the damage you have done to his sweet j peas."

2 Bouquets of cabbages, cauliflowers, and lettuces were presented to the judges as an appreciation of their services.
