Matches, Petrol To Cost More
(Received 2.30 p.m.) CANBERRA. This Day. An increase of 2id a dozen boxes in the retail price of safety matches was announced by the Price Commissioner. The retail price is now lid or according to pre-war prices in various localities. Since the beginning of the war increases of sid per dozen boxes has been allowed. An increase of Id per gallon in the price of petrol will operate from today. The retail price is now 2/7.
