Expects Extensive Spring Campaign
MELBOURNE, Nov. 13. The Commander-in-Chief of the Australian Imperial Force (General Sir Thomas Blarney), in an interview today, hinted that he expects an extensive campaign next spring, but he would not indicate the likely whereabouts of hostilities. Whatever happened. General Blarney said. Australian troops would fight as a single force. He considered the position in the Middle East fairly stable. Air support in this theatre had improved out of all comprehension, while the newly-devised co-operation between the army and the air force would probably spell the end of all former troubles.
