Hitch In German , Turkish Trade Treaty
LONDON, October 8. A last minute hitch has occurred in the negotiations of a trade agreement between Turkey and Germany. It is not likely that any agreement will be signed before next week. There are conflicting reports about the reasons for delay. One report says Germany is asking for an alteration in the Turkish rate of exchange in Germany’s favour. Another states that Turkey is unwilling to give credit, while a third says that Germany wants the goods to be delivered to Germany, but Turkey suggests that they should be collected at Istanbul.
