Modification Of Blackout In Britain
(Rec. 1.30 p.m.) LONDON, Oct. 6. The Government is expected to issue a statement soon on the prospects of modifying . the black-out in Britain. The lead has been given by relaxing the black-out in Moscow, to which the attention of the Home Secretary (Mr. Herbert Morrison) has been drawn. Sir William Wayland, M.P. (Conservative —Kent) has urged Mr. Morrison to introduce the modified prewar street lighting.
