Winner Atkins To Wrestle Blomfield
[Special to ~ , ‘No’'tbf>rn Advocate”! AUCKLAND, This Day. In a professional wrestling contest at the town hall last night, Fred Atkins, of Australia, teat Jaget Singh, of India, on points. Each man secured a fall. The Australian was the first to succeed, securing a slam and body press in the fourth round after a succession of jolts. Singh evened the falls in the sixth round when Atkins submited to an Indian deathlock. The former New Zealand champion. Lofty Blomfield, who has been discharged from the army, was accorded a great ovation as he stepped into the ring to issue a challenge to any wrestler in New Zealand. This' was prior to the commencement of the main bout, and Atkins at once accepted the challenge.
