Matsons To Sail Secretly
[Special to “Northern Advocate”l AUCKLAND, This Day. In consequence of the instructions, no information regarding arrivals and departures of Matson vessels will be available from the local agents, and intending passengers will be told in the vaguest possible manner of sailing dates. No names of vessels or lines, or times of sailing will be published. “This is merely the wartime precautions that Britain and the Empire took at the beginning of the war, and major may not mean that the United States is on the verge of shooting,” commented a shipping official this morning.
