Northland Roll Of Honour

LIEUT. M. V. WILSON, husband of Mrs. A. Wilson (Maunu) and son of Mrs. E. M. Wilson (Central Avenue). He left New Zealand with the Second Echelon and was in charge of the 15th Light Aid Detachment, attached to the 7th Anti-Tank Regiment of the N.Z. Artillery. A year ago this month, when on manoeuvres in England, he met with a serious accident and was invalided back to New Zealand. His death from the injuries received when on service occurred at the Whangarei Hospital on September 12. Full military honours were accorded at the funeral, the first to be held in Northland in respect to a soldier returned from the present war. Block by courtesy of the A.A.
