Sydney’s Water Famine Ended
(Rec. 2.30 p.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. The Metropolitan Water Board members and their officers are wearing the broadest smiles for 12 months as a result cf drenching rain falling m the reservoir catchment areas. It is described as the best downpour for months. The board's immense storage dams were never so depleted, and consumers were being constantly reminded of the need for economy and of the danger of a water famine.
