Milk Vendors Disagree
MILK vendors in Whangarei have provided material for discussion of the respective merits of conciliation and compulsory arbitration. As is well known, the adoption of a milk zoning scheme was introduced some time ago. Under the provisions of the scheme specified zones would be allocated to individual vendors, whose patrons and gallonage would thus be fixed by law. Details were relegated to the vendors for mutual arrangement. A conference was held this week, but no agreement was reached, the vendors being equally divided on. vital points. It, is expected that the Government will send an official arbitiatoi, who presumably will do what the vendors could not agree to do. He who runs may read.
