Labour To Decide Election This Week

[Per Press Association. —Copyright] WELLINGTON, This Day. At a caucus of the Parliamentary Labour Party yesterday the following motion was carried: — “That this caucus extends rt hearty welcome to its Leader, the Prime Minister (Mr. Fraser), and congratulates him on his magnificent work in the Middle East, the United Kingdom and the United States, and affirms its determination, under his leadership, to carry on the work of the party and the Dominion until victory is achieved and the present conflict is resolved in a triumph of peoples in the democratic countries of the world.” A further resolution was passed by the caucus expressing sincere appreciation of the work of Mr. W. Nash as Acting-Leader of the Parliamentary Labour Party during the absence of Mr. Fraser. The general election issue is still undetermined. It was not decided at yesterday’s caucus and has been deferred until another meeting later this week. It is, however, definite, that some decision will be reached within the next few days.
