Kamo Football Club Concludes Good Season

To wind up the season and to honour members of the junior team which won the grade championship, the first title tc go to the club for many years, the Kamo Football Club held a smoke concert on Saturday evening. There was a large attendance of players, officials and representatives of other clubs, the president (Mr. N. Harris) occupying the chair, and a most enjoyable evening was spent. At the commencement all stood in silence as a mark of respect to fallen comrades. After the loyal toast, proposed by the president, the following toast list was honoured: Whangarei Rugby Union (proposed by Mr. Gordon Elliott—response by Mr. L. Garry); Kamo Football Club (Mr. L. Morgan—Mr. Harris); Referees’ Association (Mr. W. Fletcher—Mr. W. Hallett); Winning Junior Team (Mr. F. Boyd—Mr. G. Ruddell); Coaches of Winning Team (Mr. W. Holt—Mr. W. Fletcher and Mr. G. Elliott); the Visitors (Mr. G. Elliott— a member of the Navy).
