Censorship Of U.S. Communications

(Rec. 2 p.m. WASHINGTON, Sept. 15. The acting-Seeretary for the Navy (Mr. James V. Forrestal) sent a letter to the chairman of the House of Representatives Naval Committee (Mr. Carl Vinson) disclosing that joint army and navy plans had been prepared for the censorship of international communications. which will be limited to control communications passing between the United States and foreign countries or overseas and between ship and shore. There is no provision for compulsory Press censorship.
