The North Auckland Farmers - Co-op., Ltd., reports Northern sales as follows: Kaitaia Monday, September 1, we had an average yarding, and competition was keen throughout, with the exception of dairy cattle, which were hard to sell. Best dairy heifers made to £6/5/-; dairy cows close to profit, £5/15/- to £7; backward cows and heifers, £3/15/- to £4/10/-. Heavy fat cows, £B/10/- to £10; light fat cows, £6/10/- to £7/2/6; fat Jersey cows, £4/17/0 to £6/7/6; three-year •Shorthorn steers, £7/6/-; two-year steers, £5/5/- to £6/9/-; yearling steers, £3/15/- to £4/17/-; two-year coloured steers, £4/10/- to £4/17-; yearling coloured steel's, £2/15/- to £3/7/6; small coloured steers, £l/11/- to £l2/1/-; young Shorthorn store cows, £4 to £4/8/-; boner cows, £2/8/- to £3/14/-; cows and calves, £3/16/- to £4/10/-: yearling Shorthorn heifers, £2/10/- to £3/1/-.

On' September 2 we had a good yarding of nice rpiality store cattle, and competition was keen throughout. Buyers were present from the south, and took most of Hie good finality cattle. Dairy heifers sold I'roni £5/17/6 to ‘26/12/6. Backward heifers sold from £4 to £5/2/6: Hirer-year Shorthorn steers, £7/7/-, others, CO/1/- to £6/10/-; two-year Shorthorn steers, £5 to £5/12/6; yearling Shorthorn steers. £3/6/- to £4/1/-; two-year Hereford steers, £7/16/-; yearling Hereford steers, £4 to .125/10/ - (the latter price was received for cattle from Mr. W. Vickers); yearling Hereford heifers, £2/13/- to £4; store cm,vs. £3/0/- to £4/1/-; boner cows, £2/10/tn £3/7/-; cows and calves, £3/6/- to £4/10/-.
