The Land and Income Tax (Annual) Bill was read a second time, put through committee stages, and given a third reading and passed without discussion. The acting-Prime Minister (Mr. Nash) indicated that amendments to the Land and Income Tax Act would come down later on, in which there would be adjustments to banking taxation.
