Denies Vichy Secret Service In America
NEW YORK. September 3. The Vichy Ambassador to Washington <M. Henri Haye). said he intended to protest to the State Department against the “Herald-Tribune’s articles alleging that representatives of the French Embassy were engaged in proNazi activities in the United States. He added that the articles were part of a campaign by certain Americans and Frenchmen to break up French and American relations. He denied that France had a secret service operating in the United States.
