SYDNEY, September 3. One of the pilots of the ferry transport which crashed on the West Coast of Britain was Captain Kenneth Garden, aged 25, whose parents reside at Coogee. They recently received a letter from him saying that he had crossed the Atlantic more times than any other pilot. Captain Garden was trained in Sydney and was regarded as one of the finest pilots who ever transferred to Imperial Airways. The passengers in. the crashed plane included the Professor of History at Bristol University (Professor Mowat), Dr. Benjamin E. Taylor, Colonel Wrongham, one of the United States' foremost submarine experts (Captain Sherwood Picking) and the Belgian sportsman and president of the International Olympic Games Committee (Count de Baillet-Latour).
An Air Ministry report says that the crew numbered one British airman, one American, pne Canadian, and one Australian.
