G. S. Laird, with a score of 41 points, won the Stableford bogey played at the week-end by members of the Whangarei Golf Club. . Other good scores were: H. F. Buckley 37, S. J. Wood 36, F. C. Walton 36, G. D. Batcup 34. DUFF CUP Best scores in the second round of the Duff Cup competition played by members of the Whau Valley Golf Club were: O. Georgeson, 84 —12, 72; M. Dallas, 97—19, 78; L, Wilkinson, 96—17, 79. QUALIFIERS FOR FARMERS’ CUP Best scores in the second round of the eclectic and the qualifying .round of the Farmers’ Cup competition played by members of the Whau Valley Ladies’ Golf Club were: Mrs. Franklin, 92 —22, 70; Miss Tucker, 104—33, 71; Mrs. Wills, 112—36, 76. Those to qualify for the Farmers’ Cup competition and the draw for the first round are: Mrs. Franklin v. Mrs. Ferguson; Mrs. Georgeson v. Mrs. Hood; Mrs. Allan v. Miss Landers; -Mrs Arneil v. Miss Dwen; Mrs. Frew v. Mrs. Snow; Mrs. Adams v. Mrs. Wills; Miss Carmichael v. Mrs. Davies; Mrs Ensom v. Miss Tucker. WHANGAREI LADIES Week-end players of the Whangarei Ladies’ Golf Club competed in an L.G.U., best scores being returned by Mrs. Wilson, 33—16, 77; Miss- Macleod, 102—23, 79; Mrs. Foster, 101 —18, 83. Points secured in the monthly aggregate points trophy competition were:—Mrs. Wilson three, Miss Maclead two, Mrs. Foster one. The first round of the Waitemata Cup competition was played by week-day play- ■ ers, best scores being:—Mrs. James, 95 —21, 74; Mrs. Walker, 98—24, 74; Mrs. Morton, 99—24, 75.
