Opening Of Kaikohe Table Tennis Season

[Special to “Northern Advocate”] KAIKOHE, This Day. A record number attended the opening of the Kaikohe Table Tennis Club season held in the Masonic Hall. A Yankee tournament arranged by Mr. J. Pausina enabled everyone to participate and each player had an average of about three games, all the tables being in constant use. Miss Myrtle Roberts was the winner of the ladies’ progressive ping-pong while Mr. J. Smith won the men’s. The Yankee tournament was won by Miss Mary Dargaville and Mr. J. Smith. Mrs. J. Wyatt, Mrs. L. Davison and Miss M. Dargaville all assisted in supplying music for the dance which followed, and a Monte Carlo was won by Miss Winnie Smith and Mr. B. Morfctte.
