Coates, Otamatea County Chairman For 23rd. Year

rSpecial to "Northern Advocate”] PAPAROA, This Day. For the 23rd year in succession, Mr. E. T. R. Coates was this morning unanimously elected chairman of the Gtamatea County Council. In nominating Mr. Coates, Cr. L. Ramsbottom spoke appreciatively of the services Mr. Coates had given durn ing his long term of office, and said that a feature of that service had been the unbiased manner in which he had presided over the council. The nomination was seconded by Cr. T. H. C. Snelling, who endorsed Cr. Ramsbottom’s remarks. Mr. Coates briefly thanked the council for its continued confidence in him by electing him for another term of office.
