Northland Golf Championship Continued Today
Under fine weather conditions, the North Auckland g'oiif championships were continued today at the Mount Denby (Whangarei) links. This morning the first round of the championship and handicap events were played and the / first rounds of the special groups also decided. In the championship event, R. B. Carr (Titirangi), the title-holder, and A. G. Sheen (Whangarei) played neck-and-neck through to the 20th, when Carr won by a putt. But putting in the best score in the qualifying rounds, Carr won the Mount Denby Cup. Morning Games
This morning’s bogey went to A. H. Day 1 up, on a count back from W. J. Glanville.' Other good scores were: A. A. Finlayson, T. Pain, and H. L. Younger, all square.
