Red Cross

The Hikurangi branch of the Red Cross held another of its monthly social gatherings in the Parish Hall last Thursday afternoon. The hostesses on this, occasion were Mesdames C. Gibson, J. NofTki, I J . Goodhue and S. Proctor, and they were responsible for a really happy and successful function. Over 40 ladies were present and all participated in the attractions arranged for their entertainment, among these being singing, musical items, games and novel competitions. During the proceedings afternoon tea was served. The gratifying sum of £4/4 / - was raised as a result of the effort.
