Impressment Of 303 Rifles
The atteniion of readers is drawn tc the public notice appearing in the advertising columns of this paper. It iS' understood that registered owners of .303 rifles will receive individual notices early next week, but the Prime Minister in a recent statement made it quite clear that faiiure to receive a notice does not exonerate a person from the necessity for handing in his rifle. It has also been clearly indicated that all .303 rifles must be handed in whether they are registered or unregistered, whether they are serviceable or unserviceable, and whether they ale owned by the holder oi merely held on behalf of some other person. 856
