Chinese Must Make More Sacrifices
“'i (Rec. 1 p.m.) CHUNGKING, April 1 Marshal Chiang Kai-shek, a speech at the plenary session of the Kuomintang executives, said that although the military crisis of tht SinoJapanese war had definitely ended, the Chinese should not be too optimistic.
They must be prepared for greater sacrifices on account of the economic front, and must bear 70 per cent, of the war burden.
He condemned the Kuomintang for drifting from the people and losing the revolutionary spirit which must be revived.
