The purpose of the club is to hold social gatherings during the coming months, the proceeds to provide parcels for the men from the district who are overseas. This one took the form of a party dance, which was a great success, there being a large attendance of young and old. The waltzing competition was won by Mrs Blackstock and Mr D. Dunn, and the Monte Carlo by Miss B. Jones and Mr R. Finlayson. Supper was provided- by the ladies. The next in the series is a “Hard Up” Dance.
