Clydeside Worst Hit in Air Raids

(Rec. 1 p.m.) LONDON, April 1. The Home Secretary (Mr Herbert Morrison) in the House of Commons, said that the casualties in two nights’ air raids on the Clydeside were 1100 killed and 1000 seriously injured.

The Commissioner of Works (Lord Reith) after a tour of the raided areas on Clydeside, described them as worse than, anything he had seen elsewhere in Britain.
