Attracted by a bright youngster, a dear old lady said to him: “I'd give a thousand pounds to have a little boy like you for my own.” “That’s a lot of money, isn’t it?” said the lad.
“Yes, but I have lots of money and no little bey.” “Mother wouldn’t let yor, have me for good,” said the boy. Then ' he thmght for a minute and added brightly: “But you can hold my hand for six-pence.”
