Man Killed When Caught In Kamo Earth Fall

Caught by a fall of earth at the Kamo brick works this afternoon, Mr William Dickie, a married man with three children, of Kamo, was buried alive.

He was dug out but found to be dead.

It is understood that Mr Dickie was working on a face in the pit digging pipe-clay when it gave way and he was caught by the fall. A companion managed to jump clear. An inquest will be opened this evening.
