SYDNEY, March 16.

In winning the Brighton Handicap, of one mile, at the Moorefield Racing Club’s meeting yesterday, Dollar ran 1.40, equalling the course record.

Between races, Beau Vite, in an exhibition sprint, ran five furlongs in 1.31, which is only half a second outside the track record. Results:

Brighton Handicap, of 300sovs.; one mile.—Dollar, 7.8, 1; Rathlin, 7.11, 2; Ensign, 7.5. 3. Eight started. Two lengths; four lengths. Time, 1.40, equal to course record.

Moorefield Handicap, of 200sovs.; one and a quarter miles.—Royal Sceptre. 6.11, 1; Irak, 6.7, 2; Mortine, 7.1. 3. Seven started. Three lengths; two lengths. Time, 2.6£.
