Over 600 In Hokianga Home Guard
At the end of February the total strength of Home Guard units in the Hokianga County was 607. The district membership was: Broad wood 65, Pawarenga 46, Mangamuka 37. Tutekehua 47, Umawera 32, Motukaraka 35, Kohukohu 47, Panguru 28, Motuti 18. Te Hua Hua 27, Horelce 26, Otaua 22, Waima 37, Cmanaia 11, Rawene 58, Whirinaki 27, Waimamaku 47, Waiotemarama 22, Opononi 45
Platoons are still to b • formed ;.t Mitimiti, Rangiahua and Moehau. which will brmg the total strength of the Guard in the county up to about 800.
