Wellsford Pays Prize Money On Show Day

t Special to “Northern Advocate”! PAPAROA, This Day. The Wellsford Show executive has originated an innovation by paying out all prize money on show day. Although the executive was saddled with much additional work in that it also conducted its own side-shows, the prize money was paid out in record time on Saturday. The scheme was handled by the president (Mr E. R. Becroft), secretary (Mr R. A. Whitmore) and a corps of volunteer workers. Exhibitors were quick to express appreciation of the scheme, which was one of the features that helped to make the Wellsford Show outstanding. Originally conceived by Mr Whitmore, the plan is being adopted by other Northland associations.
