AUCKLAND, This Day.

The market for banks, insurances and most industrial shares remained firm on the Auckland Stock Exchange today. There was further weakening in Broken Hill Pty. rights, while British tobaccos lost ground. New Zealand issues, however, remained strong. Bycrofts hardened on their price of two months ago, sellers then dropping out. Sales completed at the noon call today were: Broken Hill Pty (rights) 17/4. Stock, 15/1/53-57, 31 per cent, £IOO.
