Defence appropriations are 75 per cent, higher than in 1939, the year of the Soviet-Finnish war. The budget provides revenue of 216,200,000,000 roubles and expenditure of 215,400,000,0,00 roubles, compared with 178,100,000,000 and 173,300,000,000 last year.
