Maungatapere Home Guard; Roll Now 90

Two vacancies for the office of platoon commanders for the Maungatapere Home Guard were filled at a well attended meeting last night. Voting resulted in the election of Mr H. Maugham and Mr E. H. K. Johnson.

Both received substantial majorities.

The Maungatapere Home Guard has increased greatly in strength, the company now having a roll number of 90. Parades have been extended to include two full-day parades each month, this action being taken with the full approval of the company.
