Heroic Dane Resigns From Parliament

LONDON, January 13,

“The Times” Stockholm correspondent says M. J. Christmas Moeller, who under German pressure resigned from the Ministry for Trade last October, has now resigned his seat in the Danish Parliament and also the leadership of the Conservative Party, thus momentarily relaxing tension between the Germans and the Government. Denounced Germans. M. Moeller since October has travelled the country openly making speeches on prevailing conditions and referring to the enemy within the gates. He has been attracting thousands of hearers and is becoming a national hero. The Germans demanded his removal from Parliament, which King Christian twice refused. M. Moeller then withdrew.
