Quisling Organising Norwegian Fascists To Fight Britain
(Received 2.30 p.m.) LONDON, January 13
A Helsinki message says Quisling is organising a regiment of Norwegians for Germany to fight against Britain. He made an impassioned appeal to Norwegians to enroll in Germany’s and Norway's common fight against the “arch enemy.” and declared that a Nazi victory was imminent. Britain’s world influence was “doomed to extinction” forever. Many members of the Fascist organisation are expected to enroll. “The Times” Stockholm correspondent says Quisling may command a regiment, and it is suggested that this may be a convenient pretext to get him and his most hated colleague out of the country without loss of prestige. They are so detested that their presence hampers the pacification of Norway.
