[Special to “Northern Advocate ” 3 AUCKLAND, This Day.
One of the luckfest women on board the Rangitane when it was attacked by a raider was Miss M. MacDonald. She said this morning after her arrival on the Mariposa that almost before she knew of it a shell passed right through the cabin. s Her room mate, Miss M. Black, was also in the cabin and they just managed to get out before the cabin collapsed and burst into flames. ■ A freshly healed scar on Miss MacDonald’s arm bore evfdence of her lucky escape.
