Fatality When Van Collides With Train

David Alexander Owens, aged 14, was killed on Saturday, when a baker’s delivery van, driven by Mi Albert Alexander Hastie, collided with a train at Green Island.

The engine struck the side of the van on which the boy was sitting, throwing him and the driver into a ditch. Owens suffered a fractured skull.
