First Empire Trained Pilots Gain Wings

CALGARY, December 25

The first class of airmen to graduate as pilots from No. 3 Flying School received their wings at an impressive ceremony at Currie Airfield. Hundreds of spectators filled the huge hangar when Wing-Commander A. D. Ross pinned the silver wings on the men. . The pilots will leave for England soon.

An unspecified number of Australian pilots received their wings. A number will be awarded commissions and others will be sergeant-pilots.
